We compared our estimates against real documents exported from Microsoft Word, Google Docs and LaTeX using standard academic settings (12pt Times New Roman, double spaced, 1-inch margins).
We measured all six built-in fonts at 10–14pt to calibrate the characters-per-line model instead of relying on one fixed "words per page" number.
Every estimate was sanity-checked against the standard publishing rule of thumb: about 250 words per double-spaced page and about 500 per single-spaced page.
ความเชี่ยวชาญ — การนับทำงานอย่างไร
The calculator converts font size in pixels to printable width, subtracts left and right margins to get the usable line width, divides by the average character width of the chosen font to get characters per line, then divides by line spacing to get lines per page. Pages = total words ÷ (words per line × lines per page). Reading time uses 225 wpm, speaking time uses 130 wpm.
ความน่าเชื่อถือ — มาตรฐานและเอกสารอ้างอิง
Default margins and spacing follow common academic formatting guidance — MLA and APA both specify 1-inch margins and double spacing — and the 250-words-per-page rule is the standard publishing convention.
This is an estimate, not a typeset preview. Headings, images, tables, page breaks and footnotes are not modelled, so a real document can differ by 5–10%. Always check the final page count in your word processor before submitting.
